A brief introduction
Hi,
My name is Phil Creswell, I'm from Wisconsin but I live in Sweden now--up north in a small city called Umeå. Umeå, for those of you not in the know, is actually a pretty impressive town. Bands you may know from here: Refused; Naglfar; Meshuggah; Nocturnal Rites; Persuader; Ancient Rites; Torn Apart.. actually the list goes on.
I've written an entire album and demoed it all on my computer with GarageBand. The project is called Æthereal and, without sounding too cocky, I'm pretty fond of the tracks. I think they're pretty solid. I want to get together a live band, but there's some issues around that right now.. either way, I think it could get signed if given a listen by the proper ears. The issue is that promotion is weak, and definitely difficult when you're not playing live.. it's an issue of cart before the horse, maybe.. and I'm not really sure which direction to head.
Yeah, the disc actually comes out in its entirety on Black Goat Records in August. It's a concept record called "Premonitions" and I'm really proud of it. I retain all the rights to it and I want to record it for a real label, with a real band.. so what the hell do I do?
