in my home town i am the best at what i do because i love what i do ... i love createing music ..improving my techneque and all that jazz, but when one of my "students" says " dude how the hell do you come up with these insane riffs" or"whos your inspiration?" i shake my head because its sad how the heavy metal music of today is all about "who you learned that from" its called origonality people.. sure music theory helps ..and sure its a good idea to learn cool techniques from practicing your favorite song from your favorite band but when it comes down to it you need to find your own niche in society (i.e.) do your own unnique thing ...or at least something found rarely in your own genre of music ... dont bee like disterbed, or otep, or lamb of god or whatever your into ... just be able to do something you think is just as cool ....or ill hack your leggs off:)
