We'll we started about two years ago withthe name image of the invisible, through time and a change of members we decided to be called Foretold Defiance. Amoung the conforming masses, we didn't choose to play anything other than shred and metal. For that decision we've had many dislike our music, but at the same time highly respected. We've done numerous shows with names i see on xm,music choice, headbangers ball, ect. We've done countless tours in texas, playing anywhere and everywhere. The only problem i see is our area and our financial standing. Our members think nothing other than music, one of which is a music major in college. I myself have helped countless bands with management, recording, ect. Many have thier opinions about Foretold Defiance, but there is one thing i can say for certain. We are not your average band, and we will not relent. For being a musician is far more than making music, its our life, home, passion, and our only love. We've had plenty of label offers, but all of those have failed to make an offer that could actually help us. Asking for money, which we hardly have a dollar to our names. Or offering only promotion, which we seem to be doing fine on our own. We're not looking to be rich, we just want to be able to continue music in our lives. The world itself, isn't ready for us. But the beauty of it all... we stand for excatly what our name says, Foretold Defiance.

I think i saw Dallas recommend this elsewhere, but I have done it in the past and is pretty fair if it comes down to it:

Poor-Man's-Copyright - Make a CD and if possible, write the stuff down on notation, sign it and put dates on the CD and written material. Mail it to yourself REGISTERED mail and never open it. If you ever need to contest something, you can present the "evidence" that you wrote first it in court. Kinda a poor man's way.

Official US Copyrighting:

http://www.copyright.gov/forms/formsr.pdf

That is the Official form for submitting to the United States Copyright Office. Fees will vary, but last I checked, it was less than $50. I will try to attach here...
